Making ọkọ̀

ọkọ̀ Organic Hibiscus drink is rich in flavour, refreshing and has a crisp taste. ọkọ̀ brings the vivacity of Nigerian cooking to the UK. 60% of the profits from ọkọ̀ sales go towards fulfilling Setovilla's mission.

Sourcing the Ingredients
Our mantra from harvesting to delivering our finished products to you will always be: Ethical, Natural and Eco-friendly. The Hibiscus leaves in our ọkọ̀ drinks are sourced directly from farmers in Nigeria, West Africa where the climate is warm and perfectly suited to growing the Hibiscus plant. Our spices, natural flavourings and herbs are sourced from suppliers who continually prioritise eco-sustainable practices.

Infusion at its finest
To develop our signature flavours, we devised the optimum time and temperature for infusing our Hibiscus leaves with spices and herbs. We use filtered water and sweeten the infusion with natural flavourings and unrefined cane sugar or stevia. Quality assurance is of the utmost priority, so be rest assured that each infusion batch is checked to ensure perfection.

Bottling & Delivery
We use pasteurisation as the preservative method for ọkọ̀. Following this process, the infusion is hot filled into 100% recyclable or even reusable glass bottles. Our consideration of the environment goes beyond the process or bottles. We also consider this in the packaging used to distribute our drinks to retailers and homes across the United Kingdom. We use only recyclable materials like recycled paper labels, eco-fillers and cardboard delivery boxes. Even better, we plant a tree on behalf of each customer who purchases ọkọ̀ from our website!
